BIO: Dr. Rick Chromey has been a Guest Speaker/Historian for the American Cruise Line's Columbia/Snake River in the Pacific Northwest since 2022. He primarily focuses on Lewis and Clark, but also handles Oregon Trail history. He's a cultural historian, inspirational "edu-trainer" and leadership imagineer. As a Montana native who has lived most of his life in Idaho and Washington, he knows this "neck of the woods" and brings fresh insights into understanding the culture, people and story of the Great Northwest.
Originally trained as a pastor and theologian, Rick holds a doctorate in leadership and the emerging culture from George Fox University. He's also penned over a dozen books on history, leadership, creative communication and education. In 2020 Rick authored GenTech: An American Story of Technology, Change and Who We Really Are. For over four decades he's trained, spoke and inspired audiences around the globe. In his spare time Rick leads a faith-based nonprofit educational services work, rides his Harley, watches St. Louis Cardinal baseball and travels. Rick lives with his wife Linda in beautiful Boise, Idaho.
